Top five experiential stories of the week

A tie up between Absolut and Uber, Sarah Kay leaving Story Events and a forthcoming festival from Krug Champagne made it into the list of the most popular stories this week.

Four lucky Uber users and their plus-ones had the chance to be whisked-off on a private jet to a secret party hosted by vodka brand Absolut on Friday (19 August). The competition was open to anyone over 25 years old with the Uber app living in London and formed part of Absolut's #AbsolutNights campaign, which shows the best nights happen out of the blue.


Managing director of Story Events, Sarah Kay, announced she will leave the agency at the end of October.Comment below to let us know what you think. As a result the business will undergo a management restructure, with Kay's role being split between Story's senior management team. Kay helped launch the creative event agency, which now employs 18 members of staff, along with Sam Gill in 2013. Gill stepped down from his role as director last year.

A remote island in the estuary of the River Blackwater, Essex, will be used to stage an exclusive music event for Champagne brand Krug next month. Osea Island will be re-branded as 'Krug Island' for the one-day music, food and Champagne event on 1 September. Guests will be whisked away from London to the island for the experience, which includes an overnight stay in luxury accommodation. The musical line-up is being curated by former Clash guitarist Mick Jones.

General Mills brand Old El Paso is launching a one-day pop-up restaurant today to celebrate the launch of its new mini Stand N Stuff soft tacos. The food brand will set up a Mexican-inspired haven at Riverside Grass at Southbank in London. Visitors to the Old El Paso mini cantina pop-up will be greeted by a mini mariachi band and maître D mini Danny Trejo, before being looked after by his larger than life staff and enjoying a mini taco meal for free. 


Insurance brand More Than is hosting what it says is the world's first contemporary art exhibition for dogs. Located in Tanner Street in London, the More Than exhibition, devised with Cow PR, is taking place across two days from 19-20 August. It consists of a series of interactive art installations created by artist Dominic Wilcox, all of which are created for dogs and inspired by activities that they love to do.
