
The shortlist for this year’s Event Awards was recently announced, ahead of the ceremony on 14 October, to be held at the Eventim Apollo. There were a total of 23 categories to enter this year, with 15 of those new.

News that iconic London 2012 sculpture the ArcelorMittal Orbit could become the world’s longest and tallest helter-skelter slide was understandably quite popular. A planning application has been submitted, and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park hopes the slide will be open in 2016.
