Kicks, who joined Profero in 1999, will remain a consultant to the agency while pursuing an undisclosed new business venture.
Hyde joins Profero with over ten years in the media industry, including six years at Channel 4 where he worked in the ad sales department, and a period as business development director at Active International, the US-owned corporate barter company. More recently he co-founded Kepla, UK a corporate trading agency, where he held the position of commercial director.
Wayne Arnold, chief operating officer of Profero, said: "Profero is currently going through a period of significant growth in the UK, Europe and Asia, with new opportunities opening up in an ever evolving and expanding market. Tom’s business development and media experience will prove invaluable in developing Profero’s full commercial potential. He will be filling big shoes as David has been integral to bringing Profero to the forefront of the digital communications market."
As well as targeting clients for new business opportunities, Hyde will focus on promoting the agency's full service digital capabilities and developing relationships in the offline agency and media owner world.
"The digital communications marketplace is entering a new era of growth and innovation. Profero is a dynamic operation and I am delighted to be joining. I look forward to building on David’s good work," said Hyde.
Earlier this year Profero celebrated its fifth birthday. It now employs more than 100 staff and has operations in London, Paris, Munich, Milan, Madrid, Singapore and Sydney. Its clients include Ask Jeeves, Astrazeneca, Central Office of Information, CNN and Debenhams.
