Event Concept produced the event which raised £225,000 for Whitechapel Gallery’s Education and Community programme.
Nearly 800 guests enjoyed art and drama performances, including a screening of An Italian Dream, a ballerina performance choreographed by Teatro alla Scala, and actors such as Ashley Walters and Tom Hiddleston performing dialogues and monologues written by contemporary artists.
As guests wondered around Whitechapel Gallery's event spaces, Smart Hospitality supplied canapes and bowl food with tortellini, warm salad and chicken, beef carpaccio and tiramisu or caramel brittle for dessert.
There was also an oyster bar, provided by Richard Hayward Oysters.
DJ’s David Dorrell, Dan Lywood, artist David Shrigley and The Lady Luck Club entertained guests throughout the evening.
There was also an auction to bid for a one-off TOD’s D-bag specially customised by artist Ian Davenport and other commissioned artworks led by Sotheby’s Oliver Barker.
