TNT Travel Auctions will offer users the chance to bid for tours, flights, holidays, car hire and accommodation. Prices are limited only by a reserve or starting bid.
Visitors to The Guardian's own auction site at guardianauctions.co.uk, will be offered access to TNT auctions. Although the feed into The Guardian's site will not be TNT branded, Vicky Abbott, TNT group sales manager said it will "give advertisers two sets of eyes".
TNT Travel Auctions will also be subject to a promotional campaign on Auto Trader's online network and will receive support in TNT Magazine, which is aimed at Australians and New Zealanders living and working in London.
The site is broken up into destinations, as well as categories, including long haul, short breaks, hotels and car hire.
TNT managing director Mark Goddard said: "The site works on a straightforward commission basis, with a 'no sale, no fee' pricing strategy."
He added: "While we expect our traditional TNT readership and client base to form the backbone of support for this initiative, we also expect it to generate a new audience of travellers and clients."
