TNT focuses on community side of site

TNT Magazine has redesigned its web site (www.tntmagazine.com) to boost its appeal to independent travellers.

"Our previous site was more of a reflection of our printed magazine, but we are trying to position ourselves as an online community with our message boards the main focus," said Rob Stross, group marketing director at the TNT Group, owned by Trader Media Group. "Travellers can use the boards to find a job and accommodation and interact with each other."

Site navigation has been improved and page sizes reduced to cut download time. "Most of our users will use internet cafes so they need a site which will download quickly," said Stross.
