TK Maxx stores already sell a limited range of homewares, but will be dedicated to offering a broad range of items from soft furnishings and kitchenware to furniture.
As with the TK Maxx retail proposition, HomeSense promises customers that there will be a new daily delivery to each store, and that there will be well-known and designer brands on sale for lower-than-recommended prices.
The first store opened in April in Poole, followed by Cardiff, Bristol, Northampton and Manchester. This week will see a Gloucester opening.
Reports say that there are plans for US parent company TJX to open "dozens" of HomeSense stores across the UK.
The HomeSense brand first appeared in Canada in 2001, with more than 70 stores now operating.
TK Maxx works with Mindshare on media planning and buying, but its recent television ad campaigns have been created in-house.
Earlier this year it appointed experiential agency Cunning to run campaigns throughout 2008. It has also worked with BLM Quantum to launch a Facebook application, with creative done in partnership with Quantum Maze.
