Titan makes move to acquire KBH

Titan Worldwide, which took over Maiden Outdoor earlier this year, is believed to be in talks to acquire train and taxi advertising specialist KBH Transport Media.

The move will further strengthen Titan’s dominant position in the UK rail advertising market. The company holds the Network Rail stations and roadside contracts and has deals with several train-operating companies, including Virgin Trains, Midland Mainline and Central Trains.
KBH works with five train-operating companies, transporting 1.7 million passengers daily in and around London. KBH deals allow it to wrap trains, post advertising inside carriages and at stations for First Capital Connect, South West Trains, South Eastern Trains, Silverlink and C2C.
The company also manages advertising on a network of black cabs covering the UK’s major cities, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The purchase would give Titan its first foothold in taxi advertising, a market currently dominated by Clear Channel UK, which has 80% of the market through a 12,000-strong fleet.
