
The papers will now be priced at £1.50 and £2 respectively with the price hike effective from this weekend.
The move marks the first time News International has changed the cover prices of the titles in Scotland for 10 years.
The price of the weekday issue of The Times will remain at 90p.
According to November's Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) figure, The Sunday Times had an average net circulation of 71,748, while the Times' weekday edition had an average circulation of 28,707 in Scotland. ABC does not give a separate breakdown for average circulation of Saturday's issue of The Times.
The move to lift the cover price in Scotland follows News International's decision to up the cover price of the weekday edition of the Times in the rest of the UK by 10p to 90p from yesterday (5 January).
