The Times: running Eurostar promos |
Times Newspapers has signed an exclusive deal with Eurostar to be the operator's newspaper promotional partner for the coming year.
Following the deal, The Times and the Sunday Times will be the only broadsheet to carry promotions for Eurostar, which links the UK to France and Belgium via the Channel Tunnel.
Kate Vanneck, promotions director at Times Newspapers, said the deal signals the company's intent to cement long-term relationships with advertisers.
"By looking beyond the usual short-term promotion, we have been able to offer Eurostar a tailored marketing service," she said.
The newspaper group is becoming increasingly active in the travel market and last month announced the launch of its own stand-alone dedicated travel title.
The magazine, called The Sunday Times Travel, is being produced by River Publishing and will be published six times a year.
The first promotion for Eurostar will kick off this weekend in the Times and the Sunday Times and will offer readers the price of two tickets to Lille, Brussels and Paris for the price of one.
Readers will be able to travel to Paris and Brussels for £35 per person and Lille for £30 per person.
