Times signs deal for Xerox creative

The Times has signed an advertising deal with Xerox in which the paper claims it will be the first national to watermark its pages.

Xerox has a pink watermarked graph rising through the black-and-white stock prices double-page spread in the Times Business section.

A multi-coloured strapline appears on the two previous pages, which reads: "What can Xerox Colour do for your business? See equity prices."

The stock prices pages carry another message: "Xerox helps improve business through colour."

The ads run on 24 and 31 May and 6 June. The deal was brokered by Times Newspapers solutions manager Pettrina Keogh and Xerox's agency Mediaedge:cia.

Times Newspapers development director Claire Myerscough said: "This is a fine example of how flexible and creative we can be with our newspaper brands.

"The benefits are clear - we can create stand-out and deliver communications objectives for clients without compromising editorial integrity."
