- In Style, the US celebrity lifestyle magazine, has appointed CIA to handle media for its UK launch.
CIA beat two other agencies to win the multimillion-pound business. The agency claims it was appointed following its track record working for media titles such as the Daily Express and Daily Star's MegaStar brand.
The agency's task is to achieve a high profile for In Style on its launch next spring against rivals including Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Condé Nast's Glamour.
CIA will handle all pre- and post-launch media for In Style, which is published by Time Inc, and M&C Saatchi will handle creative.
Katy Egan, In Style's UK publisher, said: "CIA really impressed us with its analysis of our product and the marketplace, and its team's enthusiasm for In Style."
