Those interested in submitting an entry have until 20 March to do so. This year, to recognise how tactical campaigns can drive a call to action, the organisers have added a new, sixth award category, "Best use of TV for response". Other categories are a Grand Prix; Best use of TV in an integrated campaign; Best ongoing use of TV; Best newcomer to TV; Best use of sponsorship or content and Best use of TV innovation.
The judges - chaired by Tess Alps, Thinkbox chief executive - are drawn from the advertiser, broadcaster, creative and media agency communities and include Sara Bennison, director of marketing and communications at Barclays; Gerry Boyle, chief executive of ZenithOptimedia, and Rachel Bristow, marketing, communications and buying director at Unilever.
Each winning entry will receive £1,000 of vouchers from an electrical retailer, enabling the prize to be divided among each winning team.
All six category winners will then be eligible for the Grand Prix, a 52-inch HD-ready plasma digital TV, for use at their agency. Those interested in entering should contact Jamie Maskall on 020 7630 2329, or visit www.thinkbox.tv/planningawards.
