Ads must have been shown in the UK on broadcast TV, internet TV or mobile TV to be eligible and must be submitted to Thinkbox by the last Friday of the month in which they appeared.
Thinkbox is inviting a group of more than 100 people from the advertising and marketing community to form a Creative Academy to judge the entries.
Leon Jaume, executive creative director of WCRS, and Simon Clift, chief marketing officer at Unilever and group vice-president of personal care, will be the academy's inaugural joint presidents. This joint presidency is designed to reflect the shared importance of client and creative teams in producing great TV work.
Lindsey Clay, marketing director at Thinkbox, said: "To make TV viewing more enjoyable for consumers and more effective for advertisers, the industry needs to continue to raise the creative bar. It makes sense to promote this cause and recognise great creative achievement."
Every month, up to 10 pieces of creative work will be shortlisted by a panel from Brand Republic, ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, Marketing and Thinkbox. The Creative Academy will then rank the work.
The advertiser, creative team and director behind each month's award-winner will each receive a specially designed award from Thinkbox.
Each month, the shortlist of entries will be profiled in ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 and Brand Republic and the winning team will be featured in Marketing and Brand Republic, as well as on the .
Individuals on the winning team will be invited to join the academy and take part in future judging for the awards.
