Reebok, who poached the French international from rivals Nike, will debut him this week in an extension of its 'I Am What I Am' campaign, which featured NBA basketball player Allen Iverson.
Henry will join 'Lost In Translation' actress Scarlett Johansson on the sportswear brand's RBK platform.
Henry will now be one of three footballers appearing in the multimedia campaign, created by Leagas Delaney, along with Chelsea and Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko, and Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
The ads feature two separate straplines, 'I don't go anywhere without good reason', and 'See, I did sign for a new team this summer', a reference to speculation that Henry was planning to sign for Real Madrid after the World Cup.
The Henry fronted campaign will feature online, in the national press, on TV and out of home. The charismatic footballer has also promoted Pepsi, Renault and Nike's anti-racism 'Stand Up, Speak Up' campaigns.
Henry said: "Football is my job and I love it, but there is so much more to my life than just the sport."
Reebok, which was bought by Adidas last year, is understood to be looking for a more regionalised, European feel to its campaigns. Previous faces of the brand include boxer Amir Khan and The Streets' Mike Skinner.
It ran into controversy with a campaign featuring controversial rapper 50 Cent.
