Thatchers Cider "What cider's supposed to taste like" by Joint

A low-flying hot-air balloon wreaks havoc on a quiet village in an absurd ad by Joint for Thatchers' flagship Gold cider brand.

A smug man looks on from the aircraft as it disrupts a garden, police car and campsite – all while comparing the ridiculousness of a defunct hot-air balloon to settling for a less-than-perfect cider. The film was shot in Somerset near the Thatchers farm and features a cameo by Martin Thatcher, a descendant of the founders and the company’s managing director. It was directed by Declan Lowney through Another Film Company, with media buying by Bray Leino.
