TfL pushes Tube and bus travel with promotional campaigns

LONDON - Transport for London is launching a new multimillion-pound campaign through M&C Saatchi and Chemistry Communications for what it claims is one of the largest promotional events in London's history.

'Everyone's London', which is backed by the Mayor of London, will launch on September 19 to highlight what the capital has to offer through a series of events and promotions at restaurants, threatres and tourist attractions.

The aim of the campaign is to make 7m Londoners look at the city with fresh eyes.

Chemistry has signed up almost 60 partners to take part by giving promotional offers and discounts that can be used simply by presenting proof of travel by Tube or bus, with up to 60% discount at a number of London's restaurants.

The campaign consists of outdoor media, posters, leaflets, radio and online activity and is being officially supported by London's Evening Standard.

Nigel Marson, TFL's head of group marketing communications, said: "Everyone's London is aimed at boosting London's Tube and bus travel and it's hoped that it will encourage Londoners and visitors alike to take advantage of the offers by using public transport."
