The deal comes as Tesco boosts its third-party partnerships in the face of fierce competition from the Nectar loyalty scheme, of which rival Sainsbury's is a member. It builds on Tesco's link with travel through its partnership with Air Miles.
The scheme combines the Tesco loyalty scheme with Marriott Rewards, which has 18 million members, by allowing members of Marriott Rewards to earn Clubcard points on stays at any of Marriott's 2300 global hotels.
The agreement means that participants receive ClubCard points for every £1 spent at a Marriott hotel.
The points can later be redeemed as Marriott Re-wards, Clubcard points or converted to Air Miles.
Tesco Clubcard allows customers to collect points at Tesco stores, Tesco.com and Tesco petrol stations.
Last year, it struck third-party deals that allow customers to earn points at Allders, H Samuel and Dollond & Aitchison.
