Teetotaller Gwyneth Paltrow strips down for Martini ad

LONDON - Dressed only in a man's shirt, Gwyneth Paltrow becomes the latest high-profile Hollywood star to appear in a Martini ad, following the likes of George Clooney.

The spot has the famously macrobiotic-eating and non-drinking Paltrow getting out of bed and with, her back to the camera, pulling on her man's white shirt and a pair of knickers.

She then sneaks into a hotel bar where she swings herself over the counter and makes herself a drink.

However, before she has time to enjoy it, Paltrow is disturbed by a couple whom she also serves and takes their money as well.

However, those hoping for a glimpse of a semi-naked Paltrow will be left disappointed. The campaign will only run in Italy and Australia and will not be shown in her native US or UK.

Paltrow, star of 'Sliding Doors' and 'Shakespeare in Love', is currently taking a break from her film career after giving birth early this year to a baby daughter Apple.

Clooney is currently starring in his second spot for Martini, with the ad this time also being show in the UK. He stars in the spot alongside his girlfriend, model Lisa Snowdon.

Clooney has already starred in three ads for Martini but these -- to promote Martini sparkling wines -- were only seen by Italian viewers.

This latest creative involves Clooney trying to get into a glamorous party but being turned away by Snowden at the door for not bringing any of the drink.

The spot marks a return for the brand to UK television advertising after a seven-year break.
