- Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners has been dealt a severe blow with the news that the Teacher Training Agency is moving its high-profile £4 million advertising account to McCann-Erickson Manchester.

The move follows a statutory review, which was announced last November with an open tender. It is understood that McCann pitched against the incumbent; JWT Manchester and another unnamed agency to secure the account.

The media planning and buying business will move from Delaney Lund affiliated agency, BJK&E, to Universal McCann.

Delaney Lund, formerly Delaney Fletcher Bozell, has produced some of its best work for the TTA. Its "talking heads" spot, which starred Tony Blair, and "Horace Lacey", which featured a teacher capturing the imagination of children, won several creative awards.

The news came as a surprise to the agency, given the standard of work it had produced for the TTA. However, there have recently been key personnel changes at the organisation, including a new director of communications and marketing, Anna Campopino.

It is the third in a series of high-profile account moves out of the agency, since it opted out of the Bozell FCB merger last autumn: Bestfoods moved its Hellmann's business to BMP and Ambrosia to HHCL & Partners and Typhoo handed its account to Mother.

Delaney Lund has just completed a new commercial for the TTA, which is expected to launch at cinemas this weekend. Its contract expires in June.
