Patrick Taylor was publishing and events director at DMG World Media and the business includes kbbreview, Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine, kbbreview Industry Awards, and online products ERT and ERT Industry Awards.
The vast majority of the employees will remain within this group and not be affected by the new ownership. The business will also remain in its current offices.
"Since we announced the results of a thorough strategic review in 2007, we have been reshaping our portfolio to maximise growth," said DMG World Media chief operating officer Michael Franks.
"We identified some of our businesses as less of a strategic fit for DMG World Media, even though they were still serving their markets well. This is the best possible scenario for both sides because we have found a buyer who is eager to invest in and grow this business."
Taylist Media was created following the management buyout with Patrick Taylor as managing director and Maggie Lister as publishing and events director.
