Tangozebra signs up online publishers

Online publishers including Sky, Emap, Virgin, Sports.com, ad 2-one, and Rivals Digital Media have signed up to an advertising programme launched by digital marketing agency Tangozebra.

Called the Media Owners Programme, the initiative will help online publishers sell tailored advertising and sponsorship campaigns to their own advertisers.

It aims to work with online publishers when they approach an advertiser to attract new business. Tangozebra has created an online sales tool to help show the different online ad formats available.

James Booth, founder of Tangozebra, said: "It means we can introduce creative resources and consulting and we charge for that, as we would anybody. The online market needs vehicles to communicate the opportunities now available online."

Tangozebra, which was acquired by global marketing and communications giant Incepta last November, has developed online ad technology and formats for clients including ntl and airport operator BAA.
