The deal follows a successful run for the insurer on both Jon Gaunt and Ian Collins’ mid-morning shows during 2006.
Hawksbee and Jacobs’ show attracts around 670,000 listeners and features some of the station’s biggest guests.
The deal includes sponsorship of the ‘Clips of the Week’ slot, where Hawksbee and Jacobs play bloopers and gaffs from Talksport presenters over the week, and ‘Voice of the Nation’ where listeners call in with their view on a sporting hot-topic of the week.
Matthew Gledhill, director of Budget Van Insurance, said previous sponsorship deals with Talksport has been very successful and that the station’s listener profile aligns perfectly with his brand and customer base, which consists largely of van drivers.
