The campaign, bought by Just Media, will employ TV, radio, outdoor and press using the tagline "TalkSport radio - bringing the FIFA World Cup home to you". The campaign will run across ITV1, ITV2, ITV4, Sky Sports, Sky News, Channel 4, More4 and UK Gold 2.
Outdoor advertising includes 1,000 taxi sides, taxi tip-up seats and branded receipt books. TalkSport has also booked 800 male washroom panels in motorway service stations and more than 600 48-sheet sites. The press campaign will feature in The Times and Zoo magazine, and UTV Radio's 19 local radio stations will run the campaign.
Calum Macaulay, marketing director of TalkSport, said: "Talk-Sport is going to be the mustlisten-to station throughout the tournament for football fans. We want to shout about this as much as possible to bring people to the station for trusted, first-class coverage of the event."
