ITV has been unable to secure carriage on the Sky Digital platform for its new children's channel until May.
The broadcaster was initially scheduled to launch CITV on February 11, but delayed for a month as negotiations over its carriage arrangements began to drag on, and it held talks with potential commercial partners, including Nickleodeon, about a possible combined launch.
Yesterday, ITV confirmed that from March 11, CITV would appear only on Freeview and Homechoice for the time being. ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 also suffered prolonged negotiations with Sky before they finally joined the platform.
