Justin Britchford, who has been involved in venues around the area for more than 20 years, and Andy Cotton, owner of the TAO Group, join the current leaseholder Steve Causer.

The MECA opened in December 2010 and has hosted events featuring the likes of Example, Ed Sheeran and Annie Mac.

Cotton, who has worked on the Wiltshire Festival in Swindon and more recently produced the JLS concert at Lydiard Park, said the new team aims to put on a programme that will "suit all ages and demographics".

Britchford added: "I fell in love with the building years ago and jumped at the opportunity to help build on what has been achieved over the last year. We have already been in touch with a lot of artists and will be hitting the new year hard with announcements on acts coming in the next few weeks."
