ESC Events will create, produce and direct The Millies, which is expected to see hundreds of servicemen and women, members of the Royal Family and numerous well-known celebrities attend. It will be screened on ITV1 in the run up to Christmas.

The awards, affectionately known as ‘The Millies’, honours and awards military personnel who in the past year have made enormous sacrifices and served their country with the highest distinction. It focuses on the excellence of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces both on the frontline and in more routine operations.

The event provides a huge logistical challenge, with only 38 hours to produce, build and take it down. It will once again include a 20metre by 30metre transparent marquee for the event’s two drinks receptions.

ESC Events managing director John Wickens said: "We are honoured to once again be supporting The Millies. It is an absolute privilege to organise an awards ceremony that pays tribute to the guts and gallantry shown by our armed forces.

"The challenge for us will once again be to ensure we make the most of the space we have available and create an event that is bigger and better than last year within a very short build and strike period."
