Sugababes sign debut promotional deal for Kit Kat Kubes

LONDON - Teenage pop sensations the Sugababes have signed their first endorsement deal, promoting Nestle's latest brand extension for Kit Kat, the Kit Kat Kube.

The deal is reportedly worth 拢250,000 and will see the Sugababes -- Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range -- appear in a giant poster in London's Covent Garden promoting Kit Kat Kubes.

Kit Kat Kubes were launched last month, backed by an advertising campaign created by J Walter Thompson. The ads starred 'Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels' actor Jason Statham and used the strapline "Have lots of little breaks with Kit Kat Kubes".

Nestle said that since the launch, 320m Kubes have already been produced to meet huge demand.

The Sugababes are releasing their follow-up album to 'Angels with Dirty Faces' on October 27. The group has a reputation as being the non-manufactured girl group, formed by North London schoolfriends Buchanan and Buena. The original third member, Siobhan Donaghy, quit the group in August 2001, to be replaced by Liverpudlian Range, who was once in an early incarnation of Atomic Kitten.
