Strongbow teams up with Virgin D3 for rebranding drive

LONDON - UK cider brand Strongbow has appointed youth marketing specialists Virgin D3 to handle the rebranding of 40,000 T-bar badges and tap handles in on-trade outlets across the UK.

The campaign, which begins this week, will see 210 Virgin D3 reps replacing the T-bar badges and tap handles in more than 30,000 Strongbow stockists throughout the country. Virgin D3, formerly Virgin Student, will also be carrying out an audit while in each outlet.

Philip Pick, Strongbow brand manager, said: "This is a key initiative for Strongbow this summer and I am confident that Virgin D3 has all the right skills to deliver. This campaign is of an unprecedented scale and will be delivered in only four weeks via a national blitz to create real impact for the brand."

The new badges and handles feature the new Strongbow identity that proved an instant success with consumers when it was launched on cans and bottles last year. The initiative is part of this year's 拢13m marketing investment behind Strongbow's "Get Refreshed" campaign.

James Layfield, business development director for Virgin D3, said: "With a marketing network of more than 1,000 students, we have the required combination of local knowledge on a national scale and logistical expertise to execute this task in just four weeks, which is something I am very proud of."
