Cap Gemini called a pitch for the global business 18 months ago. StrawberryFrog pitched against D'Arcy, Havas Advertising and a number of other networks for the business. Although D'Arcy won the business at that time, StrawberryFrog's strategic and creative work has now seen the Dutch agency secure the account.
StrawberryFrog is working on a new global brand advertising campaign, set to break this spring, which will roll out country by country and run across all media. Guerilla activity will be handled by its sister company, BlueberryFrog.
Previously, Cap Gemini's creative work had been handled through New York's D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. D'Arcy's last significant work for the company ran in late 2000.
Scott Goodson, the creative director at StrawberryFrog, said: "Winning this account is another way of showing the success of the StrawberryFrog way of working. We've again demonstrated to big brands that we come up with strong ideas internationally and can deliver them in the US, UK and Asia."
Cap Gemini is based in Paris and competes with consultancies such as IBM, EDS and Accenture. IBM's global advertising is handled by Ogilvy & Mather, while EDS's is handled by Fallon and Accenture's by Young & Rubicam.
