Tiscali.plus is making its debut in Holland before a roll-out in the UK, Germany and Italy.
The move, backed by an undisclosed budget, will be seen as a major step by Tiscali in its transformation from a local telecoms company in Sardinia in 1998 into a major European player, challenging AOL and Wanadoo. The main thrust of StrawberryFrog's campaign will be online.
The pan-European initiative does not affect Tiscali's local agency arrangements.
In February, Mortimer Whittaker O'Sullivan was awarded the creative assignment on its £8 million UK account. The company is currently running a national TV, radio and press campaign under the theme "with Tiscali, everyone in the land can afford broadband".
Tiscali.plus includes file-sharing, storage for larger files, photographs, spam-filtering, upgraded security and mobile-phone synchronisation. Many of these services were previously available only to corporate customers.
