STOP PRESS: Unilever ad spend up 3%

Unilever's advertising and promotions spend for Q2 so far is up 3% on the second quarter of 2001, according to a trading statement issued on Monday. The FMCG giant said it is withholding the bulk of its budget for product launches later in the year. The company said it expects to make cost savings of 3% from "efficiencies including its ITV media deal.
