Stead, who will take over the role in April from acting chief executive Andersen Cheng, leaves MPG after 11 years in order to pursue what he hopes will be a challenge.
"I always felt I might get back to the media owner side of things at some point (he was formerly at ITV) and then I was lucky enough for this opportunity to come up," he said. "To more or less start a company from the UK that I am convinced will be a great success is the sort of challenge I really want."
Stead will be responsible for expanding InviseoMedia's global reach and building on the recent deal to fit Ryanair's entire fleet of planes with tray-table advertising. InviseoMedia launched in the UK in October.
