Starcom wins £13m Del Monte account

Starcom has won the £13m pan-European account for Del Monte, the US fruit pieces and juices brand.

Brand Connection previously held the UK account and Initiative covered the rest of the continent.
Starcom Europe, Middle East and Africa will take control of the account in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland.
The agency beat off competition from the incumbents and ZenithOptimedia to secure the business.
Last week, Starcom also took the £10m brief for Revlon across Europe.
Del Monte appointed Leo Burnett to its creative task in February in a bid to revitalise the brand after it dropped its "Man from Del Monte" ads last year to concentrate on a fresh approach to marketing its products.
