
She will move from her current role of business director with immediate effect and will be responsible for, "for creating and managing strategic marketing plans and raising the fame of SMG, its people, creative work and strategic thinking," according to the Publicis-owned agency.
Huber has worked for the agency for a decade on accounts including Heineken, Harveys Furniture and EMI. Prior to SMG, she worked at Omnicom agency OMD on accounts including Peugeot and Gillette. She started her media career as a graduate at BBJ.
Stewart Easterbrook, chief executive of SMG, said:" Having a dedicated marketing director demonstrates our commitment to ensuring SMG London is well represented within the industry, and Gill's planning experience and her time within SMG ensures she is best placed to take on this role.
"She has built strong relationships within the company and externally within the wider media industry."
