In "glue", a girl is shown getting into trouble in an art class as a result of not having a glue stick, while "ruler" shows a boy unwittingly causing havoc in a science lab as he tries to improvise because he does not have a ruler.
The spots end with the strapline "Get the tools for school, at Staples". The campaign will run until mid September, the key sales period for the back-to-school shopping.
