On hearing the news, Stallone, who received six votes, said to McCririck who received five: "You're right. It's so sad its us two."
McCririck said to the rest of the housemates: "I bet you're gutted it's me. If only racing was as easy as this, I'd make a fortune."
Elsewhere in the house, Bez got two nominations: from John, who said "I wonder what planet he comes from? He's unintelligent"; and Jackie, who said "the one that can't speak English and has a crooked set of teeth," unable to remember his name.
Caprice got one nomination from McCririck for being "cold, calculating and inanimate", Jeremy Edwards got one from Stallone for "not contributing much" and Lisa I'Lanson got a nomination from Edwards for being "really ratty and dismissive".
As the tension hots up for eviction night on Friday, bookmaker Ladbrokes has taken a flurry of bets for Stallone to be booted out and has changed her odds from 33/1 to 1/4 while McCririck is on 11/4.
Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "Jackie is favourite to go but it could be close. We may have underestimated the power of the anti-McCririck brigade as it's hard to call with him -- there are people out there who either love him or hate him, there is no middle ground."
Happy Mondays dancer Bez has become an even hotter favourite to win the show with his odds cut to 7/4 from 2/1. Kenzie has pipped Jeremy to second place with odds of 2/1 from 5/2, while support for Edwards is deteriorating with odds of 4/1 from 3/1.
Lush added: "Bez looks like the one to beat, he's kept his nose clean and doesn't take anything too seriously."
