The concert saw artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, Shawn Mendes and DNCE take to the stage, with around 6,000 fans in attendance.

The concert not only celebrated the energy company's on-going partnership with the charity, but enabled the charity to offer 2,000 complimentary tickets to seriously ill children.

Some lucky concert-goers were also treated to SSE’s special ‘Surprise and Delight’ activity, where attendees were handpicked by SSE Energisers and upgraded to SSE’s best seats in the house.

Colin Banks, head of sponsorship & reward at SSE, said: "We were looking for a local charity to work with and Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity were the perfect fit. The work they do to help children and their families around the UK is brilliant and the gig this week was an amazing celebration for everyone involved in the charity, as well as those supporting the cause, to come together at The SSE Arena, Wembley. This is the start of a two-year partnership and one we’re really proud of helping to make a difference and give something back."
