The Daily Sport, which underwent a major relaunch last year that failed to resonate with readers, resigned from the auditing body on 17 February after about a year having its circulation figure audited.
The Sunday Sport, like its sister title, famous for sex and sensation stories, resigned on 4 March after nearly 20 years with ABC. Both titles last had a published audit in January.
The resignation from the ABC follows the decision last month by Sport Media Group to offload the titles after sales continued to decline despite the revamp. The group has been forced to slash the value of the titles to £18.4m after it bought them for £50m 18 months ago.
This week, the group announced that it had secured an "interim extension" to its banking facilities after the group breached a banking covenant earlier this year.
ABC confirmed that the papers' had resigned from the body.
Sport Media Group was unavailable for comment.
