Sony to launch ad campaign for PSP Go

LONDON - Sony Computer Entertainment is backing the launch of its PSP Go handheld console this week with a marketing push through agency Love Creative.

It is understood that the campaign will focus on the versatility of the device, using the tagline ‘Your whole world in your hands', which Sony has also used for its PSP 3000 console.

The Go is the fourth in the PlayStation Portable range. It has internal flash memory to download and store games from the online PlayStation store, and built in wi-fi for Skype calls and Bluetooth.

The device is aimed at people who regularly download and consume their entertainment digitally, including music, photos, movies and games, on the move.

Sony's PSP sales slowed in the first quarter of 2009, suffering in the face of the dominant performance of Nintendo's DS and DSi handhelds.
