Sony hands PSP task to Framfab

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has hired digital agency Framfab to handle the pan-European digital marketing for the launch of its first handheld gaming device, the PlayStation Portable.

Framfab has been tasked with developing an online campaign, as well as the official website, which will run across 22 European countries in 10 languages.

The centralised advertising strategy is unusual for Sony, which has traditionally run market-specific campaigns, using agencies from local countries.

Rival Nintendo is plotting a 拢24m pan-European campaign to back the launch of the DS, its latest handheld console, which launches in March.
