Solace Women's Aid uses Twitter to highlight the hidden truths of domestic abuse.
The ad shows a seemingly innocent photo of a couple on Twitter, alongside the contrasting caption "this is what domestic violence looks like". However, taking advantage of Twitter’s new "hidden replies" feature – which allows people to access replies hidden by the author of a Tweet – the charity captures the private conversation between a woman and her abusive partner in the aftermath of posting online.
The spot warns that "just because you can’t see domestic abuse doesn’t mean it’s not happening". It was created by Stephen Plaster, Dan Smith, Maxime Derrien and Ben Thomas.
