Soccerex signs Hill & Knowlton as first PR agency

LONDON – Soccerex, the business convention for world football, has signed WPP's Hill & Knowlton as its first PR company to maximise global media attention around its 2005 Dubai-based event.

Hill & Knowlton will use its network of offices in the Middle East and Asia and work alongside its sports marketing and sponsorship head office in London to promote Soccerex in Dubai.

The three-day convention, now in its ninth year, is being held at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai on November 12-15. Previous Soccerexs have been held in Los Angeles, London and Paris.

Confirmed attendees to the event include Nike, Adidas, Umbro, Microsoft, Fifa, Uefa, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

James Worall, Soccerex commercial director, said: "The Soccerex phenomenon has grown at such a rapid pace, we felt the time was right to team up with a well established player like Hill & Knowlton."

Giles Morgan, Hill & Knowlton sports marketing and sponsorship managing director, said: "We have a huge amount of experience in football and are well placed to undertake a successful global campaign."
