SMG TV arm creates client relations role

LONDON - STV, the broadcasting division of Scottish Media Group, has created the new role of client services director to manage its commercial relationships with agencies.

John MacDougall, group account director at agency The Union, will take up the newly created role.

His remit will be to manage STV's relationships with advertisers and their creative agencies, and to highlight commercial opportunities available on TV and its web portal stv.tv.

MacDougall has experience from working with Scottish and Newcastle, The Union, The Leith Agency and Citigate Smarts. He will be based at STV's Edinburgh office.

David Connolly, commercial director of stv, said a key company objective is to strengthen advertiser relationships.
