The deal will see BeNow use SmartFocus' SmartMarketer Intelligent Marketing applications as a part of its hosted database marketing service, as well as allowing BeNow to re-sell SmartFocus software.
BeNow said it chose SmartFocus for its analysis, modelling, campaign management and reporting capability in a single application and affordable price.
BeNow identified productivity and efficiency gains for its clients from the agreement, taking advantage of SmartFocus' differentiating ability to undertake the complete marketing automation process of analysis, modelling, campaign management and reporting within a single user interface without having to move the data in and out of their existing marketing database systems.
Brad Neuenhaus, chief executive officer of BeNow, said: "SmartFocus offered us something very unique. After fully assessing the market, we believe that SmartFocus can most effectively complement our segmentation, campaign management and modelling capabilities, and help us to continue delivering breakthrough results for our clients."
Chris Underhill, chief executive officer of SmartFocus, said it had worked with BeNow to help drive improved database marketing productivity and effectiveness.
SmartFocus is a privately owned, UK-based company working from offices in Bristol and Toronto, Canada, which develops a range of database marketing software used by a number of top global companies including Procter & Gamble, Lloyds TSB, Avis and The Carphone Warehouse.
