Acxiom, EuroDirect Database Marketing, Occam and Lloyd James Group each earned three nominations.
Sponsored by marketing data provider Occam, the Smart Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of suppliers to the direct marketing industry. Forty-one companies made the finalist stage this year (see box).
The winners will be announced on 17 October at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Among the judging panel, which took place on 11 September, were Jet Cooke, head of direct marketing, consumer, BT Retail; Andrew Jordan, group data solutions director, dunnhumby; and Barry Leeson-Earle, founder of Tri-Direct. The panel was chaired by Marc Michaels, director of direct marketing at the COI.
