The primetime show will feature footage from film premieres, interviews with stars and entertainment news with a distinctly British slant, focusing on UK stars who live in the US.
The show, presented by former 'Big Breakfast' host Amanda Byram, will launch on January 7 at 8pm and is initially scheduled to run for six months.
Sky One has also picked up the rights to the daily US version, which it will show after the UK show.
The US version of 'Entertainment Tonight' is screened in 40 countries across the world. It debuted in 1981 as the first satellite entertainment news programme.
