
The service will allow Sky to capture email data from viewers along with information about their viewing habits.
By registering with the ‘Never Miss' service at www.sky.com/nevermiss, viewers can self-select and track their favourite programmes or movies months ahead of standard scheduling without browsing electronic programme guides (EPGs) and printed listings magazines.
Users then receive an e-mail reminder with broadcast details of the first transmission date.
Sky customers with Sky+ or Sky+HD boxes can schedule recordings of their favourite shows direct from the emails on their computer screen.
The service currently covers more than 34,000 movies and 500 series spanning drama, entertainment, documentaries and the arts.
Users to search by keywords or browse by genre or title, with results sorted alphabetically or by viewer popularity, release date or age certificate. The individual notification lists can then be managed by adding or removing titles with a single click.
