Sky buys into Tivo
Satellite broadcaster BSkyB has bought a stake in Tivo, the US personal video recorder company. It paid an undisclosed sum for a portion of a £36m stake, which it is sharing with US broadcasters NBC and Discovery.
If all three groups exercise their warrants they could emerge with a 25% stake in the company between them.
BSkyB also said it would extend its UK marketing venture with the group for a further year until September 2003.
