Six line up to pitch for N&P media task

Norwich & Peterborough Building Society has called a review of its £1.3 million media planning and buying account.

The building society has approached five undisclosed agencies to organise chemistry meetings. The incumbent agency, MediaCom, has been invited to repitch. The review is being handled by the AAR.

Norwich & Peterborough's advertising account is held by the integrated agency Hicklin Slade & Partners, which won the business in 2006. That relationship is unaffected by the media review.

Late last year, the company launched its first national DRTV ad promoting its mortgages. The 40-second spot, called "don't let it get away", starred 14 members of the building society's staff.

Norwich & Peterborough is the 14th-largest mutual building society in the UK, with assets in excess of £3.6 billion. It has more than 55 branches, mostly in East Anglia, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
